Community Services

While our mission is to serve the patients and families that come through our doors each day, so much of what we do is focused on improving the health and well-being of the people and communities in our region.

Amanda’s House

Amanda’s House provides complimentary accommodations for patients and families of patients of Glens Falls Hospital who have traveled a distance for healthcare.

Health Promotion Center

The Health Promotion Center of Glens Falls Hospital works to improve the health and well-bring of the people and communities in our region. Our present work focuses on strategies to make it easier for people to eat well, be tobacco-free, be physically active and obtain preventative care. You can also find our Community Health Needs Assessment, Implementation Strategy, and Community Service Plan here.

Medical Alert Service

When seconds count in a medical emergency, a personal emergency response system (PERS) can make a vital difference. Immediate medical response can mean the difference between recovering and returning home or having to leave the home you love.

Volunteer Services

Volunteering can be fun, easy and especially rewarding. At Glens Falls Hospital, we offer a variety of volunteer opportunities within different departments and locations.  We also offer a Junior Volunteer Program for teenagers ages 13 to 18.

C.R. Wood Cancer Center Support Services

The support services offered at the C. R. Wood Cancer Center go far beyond cancer treatment to help cancer patients – and their families – go on with their lives. We have established a comprehensive array of support and education services to help people adapt and cope with the emotional and lifestyle changes that inevitably result from a cancer diagnosis.

Your Story is our Story - Glens Falls Hospital “All of the nurses and staff in the Snuggery were exceptional. The OR nurses were amazing and made me feel comfortable and calm. Nurse Kristin made sure all our needs were met, answered our questions, and over all, made us feel important and cared for.” Elizabeth Vestal Queensbury, NY
