Injuries don’t happen when it is convenient. Visit our Orthopedic Acute Care Walk-in Clinic. Walk-ins are accepted for acute orthopedic injuries with x-ray available on site. We encourage you to arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to the posted closing time to care for everyone promptly.
For those times when an unexpected injury arises, the Orthopedic Acute Care Clinic provides an important way for people across the region to receive prompt, walk-in care for non-life-threatening acute injuries such as:
- Sprains, strains, and minor dislocations
- Sports injuries
- Closed fractures
- Cast or splint concerns
- New onset of orthopedic related pain
Acute Care is not intended for life-threatening situations (please call 911 or report to the Emergency Department), complex orthopedic conditions, or long-standing non-acute conditions such as:
- Chronic pain
- Open fractures where the bone is exposed
- Trauma or injuries resulting in visible excess blood loss
- Bone injuries that include sudden or severe shortness of breath
To provide sufficient time to assess non-acute concerns, all routine referrals from your primary care provider and/or long-standing chronic orthopedic issues should be scheduled with one of our providers during routine business hours.
For more comprehensive treatment, call 518-926-5600 and make an appointment with the Orthopedic Specialists of Glens Falls Hospital during normal business hours.
