Special Instructions

Patient should be at a “steady state” concentration. Peak should be drawn 60 minutes after IM injection; 30 minutes after 30 minute IV infusion; 15 minutes after a 60 minute IV infusion; and the trough should be drawn one hour prior to the dose. Clearly label tubes as “Peak” or “Trough”.
