Non-emergent procedures on pause effective December 31, 2020

We have been in contact with the other regional hospitals regularly throughout the pandemic to monitor bed capacity and staffing situations across the region.  As you may be aware, the capital region stands out with the rapid growth in the number of COVID cases, and our hospitalization rate is increasing.

Beginning Thursday, December 31 at 7 am, Glens Falls Hospital will pause non-emergent procedures in the Surgery Center, Interventional Radiology, the Cath Lab, and the GI center.  The reason for the pause is so that we can redeploy staff to care for the surge in COVID-19 we are currently seeing, with the expectation that the next 3 – 4 weeks will potentially see even more cases.

We will keep our community informed with any further updates over the coming weeks.  We thank you for your cooperation.
