Nutritional Counseling: Do you have a medical condition that requires you to follow a special diet? Are you confused about food labeling (what you hear and read in the news) and how it applies to you?

Our Registered Dietitians can provide individual nutrition counseling for, but not limited to, the following areas:

Diabetes Self-Management Education and Training: Our Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) is a healthcare professional with extensive experience working with individuals with diabetes and their families.

Our Certified Diabetes Educator provides:

  • Self- management education and training to people with diabetes
  • An interactive, individualized, collaborative, and ongoing process involving the person with diabetes or pre-diabetes
  • The following are topics covered:
    • Healthy eating
    • Being active
    • Glucose monitoring
    • Taking medication
    • Problem solving
    • Healthy coping and reducing risk

We believe education is a key component in effective control and management of diabetes. With proper education, people with poorly controlled diabetes can regain control and minimize the risk of future complications. People with long-standing diabetes can learn new techniques to maintain good glycemic control and regain motivation to follow their self-management plans.
