Glens Falls Hospital’s Health Promotion Center (HPC) consists of two grant funded initiatives focused on improving the health and well-being of the people in our region. Through these programs, HPC staff partner with school districts, businesses, communities, hospitals and healthcare provider practices to support healthy lifestyles for our patients and community members.
Good Move is a campaign to encourage individuals and families to take steps toward good health in the community, in the workplace, and in the school. Being active, eating healthy foods and making use of preventative care may be easier than you think! Walk your kids to school, grab a piece of fruit for a snack, explore a nearby park, and talk to your doctor about healthy choices that are right for you and your family. Good Move is a program of the Health Promotion Center of Glens Falls Hospital and is partially funded by the New York State Department of Health.
The campaign highlights physical activity, nutrition, breastfeeding, smoking cessation and preventive care messages. Good Move offers communications to support a coordinated and integrated network of partners such as healthcare providers, schools, worksites and community-based organizations or municipalities.
