Glens Falls Hospital Officially Transfers Ownership of Renal Dialysis Services to Dialysis Clinic, Inc.

GLENS FALLS, NY — To ensure regional access to the broadest array of healthcare services available, Glens Falls Hospital announced in December 2017 that they would be selling their renal dialysis service to DCI (Dialysis Clinic, Inc.), the nation’s leading not-for-profit dialysis provider.

Glens Falls Hospital officially transferred ownership of its outpatient renal dialysis program on Broad Street in Glens Falls to DCI on Friday, June 1, 2018. They do not expect that patients will experience any changes to their treatment schedule during this transition.

Effective June 1, the new phone number for DCI is 518-252-0008 and the fax number is 518-252-0016.

“Glens Falls Hospital and DCI are both non-profit healthcare organizations, and share many of the same community values, including providing high quality patient-centered care,” said hospital President and CEO Dianne Shugrue.“The transfer of our renal dialysis services to DCI will put this vitally important service in the hands of an organization that has excelled in its delivery for nearly 50 years.”

DCI will supplement its expert local care with access to extensive national-level resources, including a clinical research department and national clinical trials, advanced employee training, and kidney disease education and medication therapy management programs.

"Continuity of care is a central focus for the staff to ensure patients experience a pleasant transition," said Shari Meola, DCI Area Operations Director. "DCI looks forward to strengthening our partnership and commitment within the Glens Falls community."
