Patti Hammond brings 25 years of health care leadership experience to GFH

GLENS FALLS, NY — Glens Falls Hospital (GFH) today announced Patti Hammond of Ray Brook, New York has been named Vice President of Physician Practice Management. A health care executive with 25 years of leadership experience, Hammond possesses extensive skills and credentials that will play a critical role in furthering the mission and vision of GFH.

“Patti’s leadership experience is impressive but so, too, is the commitment she has shown to the health and wellbeing of the Greater Capital Region. Her pioneering spirit and dedication to quality care are a tremendous addition to our senior leadership team,” said Dianne Shugrue, President and CEO of Glens Falls Hospital. “We are delighted to welcome Patti to GFH.”

Hammond’s experience includes leadership roles at Ellis Medicine (Vice President, Physician Services/CEO, Ellis Medical Group) and Bellevue Woman’s Hospital (Chief Operating Officer/Executive Vice President). She was integral in consolidating Bellevue and St. Clare’s Hospital into Ellis while maintaining the successful operation of 25 physician practices located throughout four counties. Most recently, Hammond has served as the Chief Operating Officer for Adirondack Health in Saranac Lake.

Hammond received a BS in nursing from Keuka College in Keuka Park, NY in 1982. She continued her studies in Albany, NY, where she earned an MS in Health Administration from Russell Sage College (1991) and an MBA with a concentration in finance from Sage Graduate School (1999). She is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves on the Board of Directors for the New York State Association for Rural Health.
