Since 1951, the School of Radiologic Technology at Glens Falls Hospital has been educating students for careers in the medical imaging field. During this time, hundreds have graduated from the school, many of which have gone on to enjoy successful careers. Since this time, however, many changes in the educational requirements and healthcare environment have evolved. As a result of these challenging requirements and growing financial constraints on healthcare organizations, many hospital-based programs are becoming fewer in number-a trend that is occurring nationally.
Unfortunately, the Glens Falls Hospital School of Radiologic Technology will be closing by June of this year due to the trends mentioned above. This was a difficult decision, but one necessary when keeping the needs of the community and maintaining the financial health of the organization at the forefront.
In conclusion, please know that Glens Falls Hospital is appreciative of your interest to be a part of our organization and sincerely wishes you success in your future.
