The Center for Lung and Chest Surgery at Glens Falls Hospital provides surgical care for a wide variety of benign and malignant diseases involving the lungs, chest wall and esophagus, including:

  • Lung cancer
  • Pleural diseases (diseases affecting the lining around the lungs)
  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease
  • Esophageal cancer
  • Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)
  • Mediastinal disease (diseases of the organs and structures in the middle of your chest, including the heart, esophagus, thymus gland and trachea)
  • Vagus Nerve Stimulators for treatment of seizures and severe depression

Thanks to tremendous surgical advancements in recent years, many chest and lung procedures can now be performed in a minimally invasive manner instead of through conventional surgery. In these procedures, small surgical instruments are inserted through tiny incisions and guided to the problem area with help from miniature video cameras mounted on the instruments. We strive to take this minimally invasive approach whenever possible, decreasing post-operative pain, reducing hospital stays and allowing for faster overall recoveries.

We pride ourselves on working closely with you and your primary care doctor to identify the appropriate course of treatment and achieve the best possible outcome. We strive to see our patients in a timely manner, and our practice accepts most health insurance plans.
