Are you are risk for Lymphedema?

Take this simple test to determine if you are at risk. Answer yes or no.

  1. Have you had any lymph nodes surgically removed or altered?
  2. Have you received radiation therapy as a part of your cancer treatment?
  3. Have you experienced intermittent or chronic swelling that does not decrease when you elevate the extremity or body area?
  4. Have you experienced any swelling that "pits" or indents with pressure? (For ex: Dents in the forearm after it has rested on the edge of a table.)
  5. Have you had difficulty with your clothes fitting more "snug" on one side?

If you have answered "yes" to one or more of these questions, you are at risk and may be presenting with the initial signs of Lymphedema. Talk to your doctor and see if an evaluation is right for you. You may also attend our monthly Lymphedema education meeting to learn more about our program and your treatment options.
