Radiography Program Admission Process
The following is required for each admission...
- Application: Submit an application with a $25 non-refundable application fee.

- Physical and Cognitive Performance Standards: Read the Standards for Glens Falls Hospital listed on the link below. Submit or return completed Signature page with application.

- Transcripts: Submit all official high school and college transcripts demonstrating completion of:
- 15 post-secondary education credit-hours of general education completed with a ‘C’ (satisfactory) or better.
- Course of study can be in Communications, English, Math, Arts and Humanities, Information Systems, Social/Behavioral Sciences, and/or Natural Sciences.
- Clinical Observation: All perspective students need to schedule a department visit once an application is submitted. The department visit is to provide the perspective student an opportunity to see the profession in a live environment, offer an opportunity to meet current students and ask questions, and should allow for the perspective student to determine if the environment is one that can be conducive to the perspective student's learning style. The department visit is conducted Monday through Friday 8-11:30, as schedules of faculty will allow. A department visit can scheduled by calling 518-926-3713 or 518-926-3714.
- Essay: An essay (Font size 12, 1.5 spacing) to include, but not limited to, research of the profession, motivating factor for choosing the medical imaging profession, aspirations and goals, what you consider to be characteristics of a professional, and what you hope to gain from the profession.
- Interview: Based on the preceding six items, the Admissions Committee will determine which applicants will be selected for personal interviews. Those chosen will meet with the committee for an interview to discuss their essay, and reasons for wanting to attend the Glens Falls Hospital School of Radiologic Technology.
- Physical Assessment: Glens Falls Hospital’s Center for Occupational Health determines final acceptance, once the Admissions Committee selects applicants for admission. The student must pass pre-enrollment screening including, immunizations, physical examination, substance abuse screening, etc., in order to be accepted into school.
