Warm Weather Heats Up Pace at
Hospital's ExpressCare
It's not just vacation-oriented businesses that are preparing for summer in the greater Glens Falls region. The staff of ExpressCare at Glens Falls Hospital is gearing up for its busy season, too.
ExpressCare is a special area of the David S. and Janet R. Sheridan Emergency Care Center (ECC) specially designed for prompt, efficient
treatment of people with minor injuries or illnesses. Approximately 50 patients are treated daily in ExpressCare during the months of June, July and August, compared to an average of 30 per day the rest of the year.
"ExpressCare patients receive fast, professional 24-hour care away
from the hectic pace of the ECC," says Laura Stebbins, R.N., Director of Emergency Care. "At the same time, they have the comfort of knowing
that state-of-the-art emergency services and an entire community hospital are there for them if their condition worsens."
ExpressCare features six private treatment rooms and a dedicated
X-ray facility. Services are available 24 hours per day, seven days a week. No appointment is necessary.
