Tom King When Tom King was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in 1997, friends
immediately suggested he seek treatment in Boston or New York City. But the Long Lake
resident was concerned about the burden such travel would impose on his wife and daughter,
and he'd heard good things about The Cancer Center
at Glens Falls Hospital from Dr.
Russell Rider in Long Lake. "I honestly believe that I could not have made a better choice," Tom says
now, one year after completing chemotherapy treatments at The Cancer Center. "Some
people were surprised that I would pursue cancer treatment in Glens Falls, but the
experience was just fabulous. The staff took a very difficult experience for a family to
be confronted with, and made it a wonderful experience. "I owe them so much." |
