GLENS FALLS – The C.R. Wood Cancer Center at Glens Falls Hospital announces a program for smokers and former smokers interested in learning more about an international screening study to detect early lung cancer.
Thoracic surgeon Louis DeCunzo, MD, FACS, and Beth Brundage, RN,
OCN, research nurse, Glens Falls Hospital’s Cancer Research Office, will speak
on the International Early Lung Cancer Action Program (I-ELCAP) on Thursday,
Sept. 28 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The session will be held in the Hospital’s
Community Learning Center, located on the Northwest Tower’s first floor, 100
Park Street, Glens Falls.
I-ELCAP is recruiting smokers or former smokers age 45 or older to participate
in a screening study to detect early lung cancer. The introductory seminar
includes a presentation and an opportunity to ask questions.
