GFH Foundation selects “A December to Remember” raffle winner
 

GLENS FALLS — The Glens Falls Hospital Foundation announces Joan Moynihan of Cleverdale, NY as the $25,000 cash grand prize winner for its “A December to Remember” raffle.

When contacted by Foundation representatives following the drawing held earlier today in the Northwest Tower main lobby, Moynihan, wife of retired Queensbury town justice G. Thomas Moynihan Jr., graciously offered to donate the entire grand prize back to the Foundation. Raffle proceeds will benefit Emergency Services at Glens Falls Hospital.

"Joan has been a wonderful volunteer on behalf of the Foundation for several years," said F. Raymond Agnew, CFRE, Foundation Executive Vice President. "She and Tom have been remarkable community citizens, known throughout the region for their activism and generosity, so I can tell you that I am utterly delighted – but not necessarily surprised – that Joan suggested giving the entire prize amount back to us.”

The holiday raffle was an overwhelming hit with ticket buyers, as the Foundation sold out its allotment of 500 tickets several days prior to the Dec. 15 drawing.

The Foundation wishes to thank to all those who participated and plans to hold another holiday raffle next year.
