Ultrasound

Diagnostic Ultrasound uses sound waves to produce images of organs and tissues in the body. The technologist applies special gel to the area being examined and places a small hand-held transducer against the skin. This transducer is then passed back and forth over the area being scanned to produce the images.

This procedure is considered one of the safest since sound waves will not damage tissue. Therefore, it is ideal for pregnant women.

Ob/Gyn Ultrasound provides pregnancy evaluation, fetal evaluation and evaluation of pelvic masses.

Ultrasound also produces precise images of your organs -- heart, kidneys, liver, gallbladder -- and  reveals motion, such as blood flowing.
