What makes a television show like ER so appealing to its viewers? Its
the non-stop action and drama amid human suffering. However, when faced with real-life
medical emergencies, people want to avoid all that drama and action. They simply want to
get well.
For that reason, Glens Falls Hospital has developed a separate unit adjacent to the
main Emergency Department to care for patients with acute medical problems of a less
serious nature. These patients no longer have to wait while more seriously ill patients
are treated.
ExpressCare consists of six private rooms and is designed to provide rapid and
efficient treatment for patients with minor emergencies. At the same time, patients have
the comfort of knowing that, should the need arise, state-of-the-art emergency services
and dedicated radiology rooms are just a step away.
