Oncology Education and Support Services |
This important component of our Cancer Center services is designed to meet the
educational and support needs of cancer patients and their families beginning with
diagnosis and continuing through treatment and recovery. Through the program, cancer
patients may use the assistance of a personal oncology
certified nurse who works with them and their families
from diagnosis through treatment, providing information and, most important, a shoulder to
lean on.
In collaboration with a health psychologist
and a social worker, a variety of support
groups for patients and their families are offered.
