Psychosocial
Oncology
Recognizing that a cancer patient’s emotional well-being is critical to
their physical health, The C.R. Wood Cancer Center at Glens Falls
Hospital has integrated Psychosocial Oncology into its comprehensive array of
health care services. Psychosocial Oncology is available
to assist patients and their families in coping with the emotional
aspect of cancer diagnosis and treatment, as well as the many issues
that surround survivorship.
The Psychosocial Oncology
staff includes a licensed psychologist and a
licensed social worker. They provide individual, couple, family and group
counseling. When appropriate, consultation with
the Hospital's Behavioral Health Psychiatry services can be arranged.
