A Community-Wide Effort to
Support Our Surgery Center

The Glens Falls Hospital Foundation has launched a community-wide celebration called "Let's Raise the Roof" as part of its 2010 Annual Fund campaign to raise $1.5 million for the Floyd H. Rourke Inpatient Surgery Center. The Center is one of the busiest areas of the hospital, with our talented surgeons and staff performing more than 16,000 procedures each year.

Why do we need your help?

In recent years, people across our community have generously helped Glens
Falls Hospital purchase a number of advanced new surgical technologies – technologies that could someday save your life or that of a family member
or friend.

These technologies generate far more heat, and are far more sensitive to temperature fluctuations and humidity levels than earlier technologies. To ensure optimum performance, our Surgery Center's heating/ventilation/air conditioning system – and the roof that supports it – must be updated as well. What's the "Raise the Roof" Celebration?

Hospital supporters are encouraged to sing, dance and donate to support our Surgery Center.

  • Watch for our "Raise the Roof" team at community events throughout the 
    region. We'll be encouraging and videotaping people doing the "Raise the Roof" dance for posting on our Web site, our Facebook and Twitter pages, and our YouTube channel.
